Vitamin E is a fat soluble vitamin that acts as an antioxidant. For horses, it must be obtained through their diet. It is vital in maintaining a healthy immune system and supports normal nerve and muscle function. Vitamin E is found in fresh, green grasses and forages. Horses without access to continual grazing and performance, growing and senior horses exposed to increased levels of oxidative stress may require additional Vitamin E in their diet.
