The Herm Sprenger® Bemelmans Sensogan® Weymouth Long Shank Bit features the innovative Sensogan mouthpiece metal, which promotes a delicate and sensitive connection to the horse. It instills a pleasant taste, encourages salivation and promotes bit acceptance. Distinctively unique, this metal is a proprietary blend of copper, zinc and manganese. All Sensogan bits are marked with a black ring at the cheeks.

Herm Sprenger’s most innovative Weymouth bit, the Bemelmans Sensogan® Weymouth Long Shank Bit is designed to help keep the horse on the bit. The exceptional shape of the Bemelmans mouthpiece distributes even pressure across the entire tongue, virtually eliminating the ability to put the tongue over the bit. The mouthpiece shape accommodates the sensitive arch of the horse’s mouth, and its thickness is tapered toward the center for soft but effective communication.
